Pastel Challenge

How soft is this color challenge from

This is just what I needed,
after having Christmas color overload!

That little flower with a sweet saying is just right
for a generic card to sent someone at ANY time!

I stamped this image 4 times & cut out the three
flowers that were stamped on colored paper!
The circle punched one was colored with Copic
markers.  That paper reminds me of doodles,
with it's uneven lines.  It's some very old paper
from the local craft store that's been around FOREVER.
What do you think?  Is that printed paper so ugly it's cute?

Thanks for stopping by my CREATE & SHOW blog.

F.J. #12

I'm doing the happy dance here!
I have finished ALL my entries to
the 12 Tags of Christmas challenge
(are you sick of hearing about it yet???)

Here is tag card #12:

I used the poinsettia die from
Although I think it's retired now.

The music paper is Tim Holtz
and the bird is from K&Co paper.
I cut a frame from some Bobunny
scrap paper.  It's a modified
version of Linda's window!
I tweaked her idea by using the
bird inside, instead of the tree.

F.J. #11

Here is my tag number eleven for
which is coming to an end in less than a week!

I was inspired by the silver finish on
Linda's tag.  It's also obvious that
I used snowflakes & gems like her!

I did both dry & wet embossing on this tag!
I like how the silver finish is imperfect.

The simple saying stamp if from
I use that stamp all the time.

Here is another similar tag....

The mirror paper edge didn't photograph
very well.  This tag had the snowflakes
embossed out, where the other tag had
them recessed!  You get a very different
look depending on how you flip your
paper!

Merry Christmas everyone!

Mittens

I saw a cute project
 in Victorian Homes magazine.
Heather Hudson is the artist.

Here is my version of her
Victorian Christmas Mitten project:

It was fun to mix elements~
 ribbon, lace, glitter,
fussy cut paper holly,
embossing floss,
fabric poinsettia flower,
Tim Holtz paper,
Bobunny paper,
ATC card victorian image,
and of course...a Unity stamp!

That tiny "peace" was cut from the

Here is the second mitten I created...

Products used are:
Echo Park paper,
victorian ATC card image,
glitter, lace, ribbon,
maya road flower ribbon,
and 2 Unity stamps.
I cut the "Merry Christmas" from

Let me know which mitten YOU like better!

F.J. #10

This tag was a blast to make.
Who puts a heart on a Christmas
tag?? What a great idea, thanks
to the 12 Tags of Christmas over
at the Funkie Junkie blog.

I used a Christmas Memories
holly stamp from the Funkie Junkie
Boutique, and a weathervane from a
Steampunk set.

I wet embossed the chipboard heart
and added that sticker banner.  The
fabric flower poinsettias were sewn on!

I smeared some Stickle glitter glue on the tag
for a magical shimmer.  It's my new favorite trick.

Pretty huh?  I think gold works the best.

Here is another similar tag, using the
same layout and colors.

It works good on ribbon too, to cover
up ugly dry glue marks!  Just squeeze some
Stickles on the ribbon & smear it across with
your finger!

F.J. #9

I'm still pecking away at the
Funkie Junkie 12 Tags of Christmas
blog entries!  It's been a very
motivating endeavour!

Here is my #9 tag,
unusual...in black!
This is such an great
color combo, be sure
to look at the other stunning
entries before mine at the blog!
They're amazing, really.

I did some gold embossing,
over some tissue paper
and lightly sanded dry embossed
cardstock.  There are several
Tim Holtz tapes from the
on this tag.

I was inspired by the rich look of gold on black
and some sheer tissue.  You'll love this combo too,
if you give it a try!

Curtain Call~ Clearly Christmas

This is the Curtain Call blog challenge sketch:

I like the colors; very bold & crisp.  It's nice
to use some non-traditional colors once in a
while!

Those ornaments & sentiment are from Close
To My Heart's Holiday Cheer set.  I think it's
very classy!

A few gems gave each twinkling ornament some
real holiday magic!

MOJO 374

It's the last day for
contest #374.

Here is the sketch:

I used an older
stamp set called
Ornate Christmas
by Inkadinkado.
My ink was CTMH
Outdoor Denim.

That dark blue holly
paper is REALLY old,
but I still like it.
I cut one of the leaf
clusters out &
 added some gems for
a focal point.

F.J. #6

I'm sneaking tag #6 in for the
Mine are out of order now (ooops!),
but if you could see the stack
of stuff I've made lately...
you'd understand!

I stuck with Linda's "joy" theme &
also used a snowflake.

The blueprint snowflake stamp is

The background was made with
Black Soot Distress ink &
a burlap stencil. Stickles gave the
 snowflake image some
real dazzle!  The saying
 is a Unity stamp.

F.J. #8

Are you ready to see my tag #8

Here it is...

How cute are those tiny stockings?
I struggled with this tag,
no sure how to make one with
a stocking that didn't cover the
whole tag!  I needed room to
be creative.

I used the poinsettia die cut
This paper is Tim Holtz.
The Christmas sentiment is from

I used Linda's idea:
a tag on a tag!
It is such a cute way to
add a word to the design.

F.J. #7

I'm sharing my entry for the
Linda's tag had such a lovely background.
I also included some ornaments on mine!

I purchased the Simple Sentiment stamp from
the Funkie Junkie Boutique a while back.

I embossed these ornaments using the
a set called Christmas Memories
and carefully cut them out.
Each one got a sweet tiny bow!

Now that makes SEVEN tags completed.
 Not too many left!

[be inspired]

which ends soon, looks like this.....

I had fun with this color scheme,
although there was no silver glitter
paper to be found in my craft room!

The stamps that I used...

I love making seasonal birthday cards.

The paper is Bobunny dots.
The ink is black Stazon & red Close to my Heart.

Etsy Cards

Hello Unity fans!
Tonight I'm sharing the petite 3" x 3"
note cards for my Etsy shop.
I like to hand write a small note to
each buyer & show that a little extra
time goes into my sales.
I value each customer.

This VINTAGE OFFICE stamp set is one of my favorites!
It looks cute with a variety of Washi tape, don't you think?

Thanksgiving

Hi everyone. It's nearly Thanksgiving,
so I'm loading a few cards for all the
blog lookers scanning for ideas during
the holiday break!

This mailbox stamp from Unity Stamp Company
is so darling. It's called Sending My Love.
I just love to color it.  The stamps
is SO cute, it doesn't take a lot of embellishment
to make the card appealing.

Here is a thanks card,
using some old Cosmo Cricket
paper.  The stamp is also Unity brand.
Aren't the colors fun?

I love a good java card,
since my craft booth is at a coffee shop!
Check out this cute stack of cups...

This is from the 6/14 kit of the month
at Unity Stamps.

I hope you have a great holiday!
Thanks for browsing here.

Flower Spray

I'd like to share a few cards made with Unity's Bunches of Love.  I love this flower spray design & the sentiments fit right inside the open space.  It's fun to color the flower with Copics & add a little glitter.

F.J. #5

Well, I must be warmed up because this tag turned
out to be my favorite so far! I'm making tags to enter
This is tag #5, and a very masculine style.

I didn't have the same die cut as Linda used
on her tag, so I used a gentlemen stamp instead.
It is from a set purchased at her

Isn't it funny?
Honestly, I thought this man
stamp would NEVER get used.
But those little fussy cut holly &
berries just scream "JOLLY".

I used a stencil & Iced Spruce distress ink
to make the starburst background.
Using some black Stickles,
I smear that glitter glue from the outside
edge inward to make a distressed
sparkle.  It gives the otherwise
bold & simple tag a little glitz.

Don't forget to be JOLLY this coming holiday season!

F.J. #4

This next tag entry for the Funkie Junkie's 12 Tags of Christmas
turned out very country style!

I liked the deer & holly featured on Linda's tag.
My holly stamp is from her Funkie Junkie Boutique.
However my stamp set came with a matching die set.
My Simple Saying stamp is also available there too.
The ric rac, original manilla background, gingham
ribbon & distressed edges were all inspired by her
tag as well.
